In the late 7^th century, the pure form of gold, silver, copper and bronze coins were used as the currency of India without any religious belief. Later, the denominations engraved coins were introduced in India which was known as the punch-marked coins. In 18^th century, the British Government grabbed control over India and introduced the first paper currency.
